A Paadama Grade 12 Term 3 test (paper set 1), in the format of the G.C.E. (A/L) Chemistry Paper II. About 60% of the marks test this term's work (organic chemistry: nomenclature, isomerism, electronic effects, hydrocarbons, halogenoalkanes, with a little on alcohols, carboxylic acids and amines) and about 40% revise Terms 1 and 2 (atomic structure, bonding, the mole, gases, energetics and inorganic chemistry). Part A: answer all four structured questions (100 marks each). Parts B and C: answer four essay questions, two from each part (150 marks each). Use R = 8.314 J K⁻¹ mol⁻¹, h = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴ J s, c = 3.00 × 10⁸ m s⁻¹, Avogadro constant = 6.022 × 10²³ mol⁻¹. Each question has a model answer showing where the marks go.
