A Paadama Grade 12 Term 2 test (paper set 1), written in the format of the G.C.E. (A/L) Chemistry Paper I: 40 multiple-choice questions, one hour and 45 minutes, no calculators. It tests Term 2 (units 4–6: gases, energetics, and the chemistry of the s-block and p-block elements, the d-block and qualitative analysis) and revises Term 1 (units 1–3). Questions 1–24 have one correct answer. In questions 25–32 one or more of the responses (a), (b), (c) and (d) is correct: choose (1) if only (a) and (b) are correct, (2) if only (b) and (c), (3) if only (c) and (d), (4) if only (d) and (a), and (5) for any other number or combination of correct responses. Questions 33–40 give two statements; choose the response that best fits them. Universal gas constant R = 8.314 J K⁻¹ mol⁻¹, Avogadro constant = 6.022 × 10²³ mol⁻¹, Planck constant h = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴ J s, speed of light c = 3 × 10⁸ m s⁻¹. Relative atomic masses are given in the questions where needed. Each question links to the lesson it tests.
