A second Paadama Grade 12 Term 1 test paper in the format of the G.C.E. (A/L) Chemistry Paper I, scaled down: 25 multiple-choice questions, one hour, no calculators. It covers Units 1 to 3 only (atomic structure, structure and bonding, chemical calculations). Questions 1–15 have one correct answer. In questions 16–20 one or more of the responses (a), (b), (c) and (d) is correct: choose (1) if only (a) and (b) are correct, (2) if only (b) and (c), (3) if only (c) and (d), (4) if only (d) and (a), and (5) for any other number or combination of correct responses. Questions 21–25 give two statements; choose the response that best fits them. Avogadro constant = 6.022 × 10²³ mol⁻¹, Planck constant h = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴ J s, speed of light c = 3 × 10⁸ m s⁻¹; 1 mol of a gas occupies 22.4 dm³ at STP. Relative atomic masses are given in the questions where needed. Each question links to the lesson it tests. The questions and data differ from Test paper 1.
