Model paper 1 · Paper I · A/L Chemistry

A Paadama model paper written in the format of the G.C.E. (A/L) Chemistry Paper I: 50 multiple-choice questions, two hours, no calculators. Questions 1–30 have one correct answer. In questions 31–40 one or more of the responses (a), (b), (c) and (d) is correct: choose (1) if only (a) and (b) are correct, (2) if only (b) and (c), (3) if only (c) and (d), (4) if only (d) and (a), and (5) for any other number or combination of correct responses. Questions 41–50 give two statements; choose the response that best fits them. Universal gas constant R = 8.314 J K⁻¹ mol⁻¹, Avogadro constant = 6.022 × 10²³ mol⁻¹, Planck constant h = 6.626 × 10⁻³⁴ J s, speed of light c = 3 × 10⁸ m s⁻¹, Faraday constant F = 96 500 C mol⁻¹. Relative atomic masses are given in the questions where needed. Each question links to the lesson it tests.
